I feel like a shitbag

With the holidays fast approaching and still no clear answer on the situation I'm dealing with at work I feel like I'm at a shitty crossroads. My family has been talking up the gifts they've gotten wrapped and ready for Christmas but my broke ass is struggling just to make sure I pay all my bills. I've managed to scrape some for my brothers gift but still haven't gotten my dad or wife anything yet. The anxiety of the holidays has always been an issue for me but now I can't help but hate it more. All I want this year is answers to if I'm able to keep my job or if I should make sure my will is good and prepare to CTB. I hate that my life has gotten to this crossroads

Christmas is a holiday exploited by corporations. It has become so gift focused and the expectations are going through the roof. I am the type of person that still believes in the thought that counts. Hell, if you give me a hug during Christmas, I am perfectly happy. To expect some extravagant gift is just silly. It is like everyone is competing with everyone else for bragging rights, wft. People should not feel guilt this time a year over these things. They should simply enjoy each other's company and appreciate what they have. If I had someone important in my life, that is my everyday gift and one in which nothing purchased could compete with.
