I dont know what to believe anymore

Every new day I spend here makes the situation more confusing. I want to commit suicide by fsh, but each time I come across new information that doesnt match up with the previous one, and this happens time after time. Some say to place the rope at the base of the neck, others say to place it at the very top of the neck, and all this information comes from two fairly popular sources. And such inconsistencies occur in almost every aspect of hanging.

I dont know what to believe anymore.

For knot placement, it is highly dependent on anatomy. People have successfully died placing the knot in any number of positions.

Wouldn't the weight of your body always move the rope up anyway? If you started lower on your neck it wouldn't stay there.

But I agree with you, after reading the entire hanging megathread it's almost more confusing.

Different threads say different things. For example, the well-known site suicidewiki said that the noose should be placed between the Adam's apple and the base of the neck, supposedly to put more pressure on the carotid arteries and allow breathing during hanging. I personally don't believe this, and I've never heard anything like it before.

That actually kinda makes sense to me..If you look at the side on view of the neck anatomy, the common carotid artery branches out into the internal carotid artery and the external carotid artery.

From a point of view of stopping the blood flow, I think it's easier and simpler to stop the blood flow when it's running through one channel as compared to two channels and also when it's lower down as compared to higher up ( closer to the brain).

With FSH, and the whole body suspended, I doubt if there would be any way to avoid airway compression. With partial, I am beginning to think that placing the noose under the adam's apple may be the right way to go as specified on the website you've mentioned.

Even with FSH, in the videos I've seen that were shared on this forum, everything seems to happen pretty quickly. The slip knot placed on the back of the neck, the noose positioned below the adam's apple seems to be the most efficient combination to me from what I've read so far..There's likely to be some experience of air hunger but with LOC likely to happen around 11 or 12 seconds, it may be the configuration that might give the least of the undesirable effects of the method..
