My boyfriend has given me Ket and speed so I can go to work. I thought he was accepting that I want to CTB, as he told me he'd come to Switzerland with me. But now he is really worried. I wish I had never got back with him, I didn't know at the time that there is no hope of me getting better. I now know there is no hope. I've tried everything. I need to give up work and leave him, then I can die in peace. I wish it wasn't going to hurt people. I am very decided this needs to end.

@LittleJem, I'm sorry you're going through this. Our feelings don't always match our rational principles, so I think your friend can be genuinely pro-choice but also very concerned and scared. Have you been accepted by one of the Swiss assisted death programs? Is your friend still willing to accompany you? Do you want him to?
When I was diagnosed with cancer I was so appalled by the first response I got when I told a friend that I didn't tell anyone else; I got through the surgery and radiation on my own, just because I couldn't keep myself together if I had to deal with other people's emotions as well. I wish I had tried telling someone that I wanted their companionship but not their fear and weepiness.
Can you try telling your friend something like that? x

I am sorry for what you are going through. Have you thought about your decision thoroughly? Have you exhausted all other options for you to start enjoying life? Maybe there is still something you have not tried? I wish things turn out great for you :)
