I did something good today

So it's currently 6am where I am. I'm on my way to the airport to visit my parents for the weekend. I first stopped off at McDonalds where a man came in and asked for some money for food. I hate to see people struggling, he said he was homeless so I pointed to the menu, I said pick out what you want and I'll tap my card. I got my benefits today so I figured why not? When I got to the station another man came up to me asking for money for a place to stay and I thought "well I'm gonna CTB so what do I need the money for" so I went to the ATM and got out 20 and gave it to him. I still think I'm a horrible person but I feel a bit better knowing I help people today.

i don't think your a terrible person, a terrible person wouldn't have gone out of their way to help someone like that.

you have good in you, even if you can't see it. and you're the reason why at least for today, I think the world can be good.

One suggestion just don't be too generous and give away everything. Maybe if you change your mind you might need that money , just a suggestion. I always have this thought on my mind.

Like on the one hand I was thinking "I'm gonna CTB so who cares?" But on the other hand I'm in a really privileged position. I get my benefits once a month and I don't pay rent. And if I do run out of money my parents usually help me out. So when I meet people like that I just think if I was in their position I would want someone to help me. Now I'm not usually in a financial position to help but as I said I had gotten my benefits that morning so I thought why not?
