Seeing the red icon of new notifications is a constantly exciting, Experiencing how the useless reactions score increase is wonderful.
Someone have the same feelings/thoughts in this?

I'm also addicted to the notification bell. I'm also addicted to Reddit upvotes and thumbs up button on YouTube. It's a feeling of being "rewarded" and the brain falls for it, even though it's trivial. That's how social media works, including SS. Also, we're in a like-minded community, which can feel reward from thumbs up, smiley faces, hugs, etc.

Social media gamification designed by corporate and government controllers designed to distract us from:
US war crimes
Chinese concentration camps and slave labor factories
Global Zionism
Bezos excessive wealth accumulation through techno fascism and cancel culture that bankrupt small business
European "hate speech" censorship
Global 1984 style border controls like passports which were not even a concept until the 20th century

To be honest, I like Marx work (The Capital), Have cool concepts about theory of work and production. Even though I hate with all my heart communist in all his colors. I never seen a so called Marxist (In my finite life experience) who really read Marx.

Obviously. Like someone else pointed out, it is the exact same thing as social media gizmos and gimmicks – it has been designed by experts to induce you to become addicted.
It's a grotesque flaw to copy the attention grabbing social media crack cocaine features on this site. Wildly irresponsible by the site owner, at best.
I'm so dumb this is why I was in special ed in highschool lmfao
I don't understand what half of these mean except massive social isolation and genetic engineering but everything else flew over my head :(
If you wanna eli5 for some for your favorite ones, feel free! :)
Don't worry about it. His list is a crock of dumb shit. Just typical bullshit that appeals to socially isolated boys and young men who are woefully unaware of how much their anxiety is affecting them.
Seriously, don't waste your time on it. It's a bunch of depressing and psychologically stunted fairytales for idiots who cope by imagining themselves to be really smart.

No,They aren't " dumb shit" as you said. The concepts I list are real with his own real consequences. And not a bunch of garbage "fairytales" that I just said for trying to be smart.
I'll explain a few for you yeahwell and prove why you ought to take seriously:
Doomsday hypothesis or Doomsday argument (DA) is a probalistic/Statistical claim with a mathematical formula who might predict at how long the human race will survive. which give an estimate of the total number of humans born so far. Simply put, it says that supposing that all humans are born in a random order, chances are that any one human is born roughly in the middle.
Here a video explanation.
Technological Singularity (Another variation is Technocapital singularity) is another hypothetical claim which said that in time at which technological growth becomes uncontrollable and irreversible, resulting in unforeseeable changes to human civilization.
For giving an example, an artificial intelligence who develop the ability to upgrade by himself without human intervention (Like Erewhon machines). https://www.springer.com/gp/book/9783662540312 (Here is a good book in Link Springer if you want to know more).
Accelerationism is the idea that capitalism, depending on variants, should be "accelerated" and drastically exaggerated to trigger unprecedented revolt and the subsequent upholding of new, unique systems.
In Nick Land words:
"In philosophical terms, It describes an absolute horizon – and one that is closing in. Thinking takes time, and accelerationism suggests we're running out of time to think that through, if we haven't already. No contemporary dilemma is being entertained realistically until it is also acknowledged that the opportunity for doing so is fast collapsing."
Here a good introduction where I borrow the explanation
Anyone trying to work out what they think about accelerationism better do so quickly. That’s the nature of the thing. It was already caught up with trends that seemed too fast to track when it bega…
I turned off notifications to reactions so I only get notified when watched threads get replied to (sometimes I even get notified when getting tagged). This only led to me checking my reactions manually sometimes

I don't know if count as special ED but I was homeschooled all my high school life.
You are not dumb just for doesn't recognised some strange or undervalue concepts, that is for sure.
I only check to see if someone quoted my post so I can reply back or something. Also on the societal concerns that would lead to the downfall of man? Don't care about them much if I'm going to die soon. WE ALL DIE IN THE END!!!

Haha I've turned off the push notifications but I love seeing the red numbers on the bell for new notifications! Reminds me of facebook when it was a decent social network!
As for the reaction score, I think it's quite interesting but I've realized that there are great and intelligent people with really low numbers. This is because not everybody takes their time to read and react to their generally-long posts. That's why I read EVERYTHING before posting a reply.

In a way, yes. Seeing that something I've shared was useful or something someone can relate to is nice. The one thing I really don't want to be is a burden, so it's nice if someone got something out of what I had to say. That and I'm always keeping an eye out for others' contributions to a thread, or quotes so I can reply promptly. Though I can't deny that my brain likes the red icon, almost seems like points lol. Feels good to "empty" it out and start over.
Yes, it is dumb shit. The concepts are not real. You just think that they are because you don't know any better. You've already mentioned being homeschooled, and it's probably reasonable to assume that you don't have any higher education. It's not like I'm unfamiliar with the "intellectual dark web" and LessWrong bullshit. Obviously, you got your username from that Mencius Moldbug moron.
Wow, a probabilistic/statistical claim WITH a mathematical formula? That's like a car with wheels! (The least you would expect from a statistical claim is that ... mathematics were used in making it. Just like you can take it for granted that a car has wheels.) Anyway, it's not an argument, because it has no premise. It's just a dumb parlor game that says nothing interesting whatsoever.
Yeah, wow, technological advancement leads to unforeseen changes to human civilization. Incredible. OBVIOUSLY that happens, and it's happened many times in human history. Agricultural revolution, industrial revolution, etc. This shit only sounds profound to people who failed middle school history class.
Yeah, and it's a completely fucking retarded idea. An idea by and for autists and schizoids. "Unprecedented revolt" fucking sucks for the humans that have to live through it, and some STEMlord dweebs jerking themselves off to fantasies about the future doesn't outweigh that.
Nick Land is a dipshit crank, and there's a reason why nobody with a life or two brain cells to rub together listens to him. He's a rave scene burnout who holds court for gullible and socially isolated weirdos online.
I understand that it sucks for you to hear this, but all of the pseudoscientific and pseudoacademical garbage you've bought into is just that – meaningless garbage that only sounds important and profound to people who don't know any better. Skynet and the Matrix isn't coming. "AI" is insanely overrated and overstated. Eliezer Yudkowski is a fucking retard. By simply learning basic critical thinking, you can see this techno woo woo tripe for what it is and stop worrying about it. It's bad sci-fi fan fiction by and for socially awkward people who would really should go for a walk outside and talk to someone normal.
I am in my sophomore year as Undergraduate student of Biomedical Engineering and i'm enter to Junior next semester at August(I don't know where you asumme that I don't have or having higher education except by if you are following your own prejudices). I put myself "Moldbug" because is sounds cool, not because I follow Curtis Yarvin "Neoreactionary/Dark enlightenment" movement (I'm barely read his work and I have better things to read before him)
Nick was a junkie and madman (it looks like you know that very well), But he was a profesor who really loves philosophy as much as I do.
He is described by his student body as someone who could talk about anything and someone who was open in engaging pubs at England. (I'm talking about late 80s and 90s period of him), If you are talking about the present Nick (Twitter/4chan) memelord. I would give you agree with you.
Accelerationism was a doctrine used by perpetrator such as Brenton Harrison Tarrant (Christchurch mosque shootings) and other weirdos people, so I understand why you called a magnet of weird people.
I don't know who is this Eliezer Yudkowski, using google to know about him is he looks like as self-taught STEM-Messiah (He doesn't even have an degree in something either).
Talking about Doomsday argument or Technological Singularity as I said before I'm just sophomore student (20 years old), so you are right I should measure more my limits instead to talk a theme I doesn't have deep bibliographic understanding.
Now my issue is, what is the problem?. Did you meet this kind of people and have discuss them? I'm barely know you and you start asumming things about me with just two or three comments that I post here. It looks like you doesn't want to know about this kind of things. Maybe you are right, they are just fantasies. Maybe this wasn't the right place to post something like this. I'm just find them as something fun to talk about. Just that.
I only check to see if someone quoted my post so I can reply back or something. Also on the societal concerns that would lead to the downfall of man? Don't care about them much if I'm going to die soon. WE ALL DIE IN THE END!!!
I'm similar in the sense that I enjoy receiving messages and notifications. For me it is out of severe loneliness and isolation. I don't have anybody to talk to in real life.
