Could a very underweight person die of hypothermia if they're ouside in 5°C dry conditions for say, a week, with water but no food? I'm alone at my apartment and no one will be interrupting me for 2 weeks at least - no one would notice me staying out on the balcony. I attempted this method earlier but didn't have enough time to see what would happen. Is it even possible to ctb this way? I know SI would be strong, but I really want to die and the only other method available to me (hanging) does not appeal. Slow, uncomfortable death is less frightening to me than a quick and painful death. I've considered VSED as well for this reason, but abandoned the idea since it seems impossible to do alone.

I think that even if you have a strong desire to die, that desire is in your mind and your body would override that and drive you to seek warmth and food, hopefully before frostbite set in with the need for amputation.

I think it could be done, but it's a 1 in a million shot.
