Suicide sucks for everyone around us who has to grieve and stuff. I get that bit. My issue with wanting to CTB despite the obvious pain it's gonna cause is how would my special needs brother take it?

How would my family break it to him? Would he fully understand it? Would it trigger him to want to copy me?

With 'neurotypical' family members it's assumed that they'll go through the usual stages of grief and mourning, but I have no idea how my death would affect my brother.

To explain, he's in his 30s so he's [somewhat] an adult. He's aware of concepts like this, but I don't know if he'd fully be able to comprehend what has happened to his little sister.

in my experience "special needs" people can understand this stuff about as much as "regular" people of course our communication is often different, and may need a different method of getting information but if you are close to him, you possibly already know some of how he thinks and how to talk to him there may be effects, but that is true of any sibling, there is the potential of him trying to "copy" you but that is true for any one close
