I'm planning on renting a boat or buying a cheap inflatable one and sail it into the middle of some lake.. my only concern right now is to not get caught or found suspicious by anyone around or the risk of someone seeing me doing so and calling the cops or emergency number. How to lower the risks of getting caught going with my plan?

my first thought was that if someone else randomly passes by they will see you and immediately call for help, don't you think? maybe it's kind of a hidden or forgotten lake though with noone else..

I think doing it at night might be less suspicious. Unfortunately, there is no guarantee. Nosey people love to interfere in everyone business
