How to not be connected to the forum after CTB

Hi,

Does anyone know what is a good way to not link myself to this forum after I am done.
For example, I don't want people I love (etc) to go back and look thru my posts in case it's disturbing.

I am considering maybe leaving my laptop and email logins and stuff to a friend just in case it is needed but I could for example not share the email for this account, or wipe history etc

Does police go thru laptops etc? What if I have it open when I CTB?

You would need to do a few things. You can first of all delete your account here. Then delete your cookies and browser history. Uninstall the browser used and/or any bookmarks for the forum if you have them. Do a clean up of your temporary files using a disk cleaner. Ccleaner used to a popular free one. I'm not sure what everyone uses these days. You could also factory reset your laptop/pc. It's easy to do. It all depends if there are things you want finding. If everything on your laptop/pc/phone is disposable I'd say just factory reset. Although that might seem suspicious to investigators. If it's clear you weren't murdered and clearly ended your own life and the method is clear then I don't think much investigation will go on. It may vary due to how old you are and how much pressure there is from family etc.

One very easy step would be to have this account associated with an email you use for nothing else and have that email name look nothing like any of your other emails or usernames, etc. Similarly, use different passwords here and on that email than you use anywhere else.

Wiping internet history sounds like a solid idea. Make sure you don't have any files saved on your computer (e.g. the PPeH or any documents you may have written referencing SS) that could be linked back to the forum.

I am highly highly certain the police would not bother with your laptop. Their resources are finite and it's just not worth it for them to bother investigating a clear suicide.

Open this site in a private browser or incognito mode. When you close the window it it will delete the history. Most cops dont do an investigation when the ME rules a clear ctb on the scene.

Factory reset, back up whatever you need ahead of time so you dont have to worry when you reset your comp.

I was wondering that but don't think it's possible. It would leave lots of threads ineligible.
