It's really important to me than when I CTB, no obituary is made nor funeral held for me because there are certain people who I really wouldn't want to find out I'm dead. I figure the best way to ensure privacy is to make it look like I'm not dead at all. My plan so far is:
1. Be on my best behavior for a few months, show no signs of mental health struggles (pretty doable since I live alone)
2. Leave a note at my parents' house informing them that I've left town for good and not to contact me because I want nothing to do with them
3. Take a bus (don't want to be identified by my car) to a coast
4. Buy a firearm and an inflatable raft
5. Go to a remote beach at night, take the raft out as far as I can go
6. Exit raft and shoot myself so that my body sinks, decreasing the chances of being found

What do you think? Is this too far fetched? Might I have better luck in a cave? Or is there some way I can bury myself alive?

Edit: In light of what others have brought up in the replies, I accept that the raft thing is completely impractical. My new plan is to possibly find a bridge to jump off, wearing ankle weights to make sure I sink. I might tell my family in person that I'm moving abroad and either send automated emails or maybe pay someone on here to correspond with them for me? Since I won't need to worry about money where I'm going lol

I can see few problems with that approach and unfortunately can't offer reasonable solution to mitigate them, at least not much.
- no contact note will immediately prompt your parents to attempt finding you in order of getting some explanations why, especially since you'd be "on your best behavior" prior leaving the note. Also, not sure what is your current relation with them but if it's any good, such treatment would be downright cruel (just my opinion, ignore it)
- buses and bus stations have cameras. They will remember you, at least for a good while.
- inflatable raft far from shore might attract Coast Guard attention. You might be even identified as drug or migrant boat and intercepted prematurely. Also paddling might not get you as far as you desire and engine will draw attention/cost more
- don't know shit about firearms but i heard they don't like water. Especially salt water. Some zip bag maybe?
- body has tendency to float so unless you use some weighs, there's a risk that your remains will be washed ashore.

EDIT - and if you go missing aka your parents fail to find you for explanations, there will be some missing person notes that might give those "unwanted people" a clue or at least hope that you died.

These are all really good considerations, thank you.
