Hi everyone.

Planning to CTB through full suspension soon, got rope, got knots, even got cuffs. Got a sturdy anchor point.

I have a 10 meter wrap of rope

I need to make a short noose because my head needs to be below the lower bar (the one with suits etc)

Snuggle hitch to tie to bar and slipknot on the other end

But how do I determine how much rope to cut in order to get the perfect length?

Any way to calculate?

If there's extra rope left, what to do?

Or maybe don't cut it at all?

Also I tried to test rope and it stretched a looot, that's a no-no, yes?? Rope won't work?

If you use stretching rope, it'll be very difficult to get it cut to the right size. Don't you have any sturdier material? Or a higher place to hang from?

Nope, nothing sturdier and this pullup bar is all l have

But please mind that in pics it is tied to the lower bar, while I intend to tie it to the upper one

I have trees outside but I don't want to hang in the forest

If you want to find out the best size on that kind of material, the only way to measure this kind of rope is to just experiment, and hang your weight into it like you did in that second picture. Start long, and cut it shorter if necessary. But I wouldn't feel comfortable with that kind of rope, it should really be able to hold your body weight for at least 30 minutes without slowly extending further or even snapping.

Can you please explain what do you mean by starting long?

Most ropes around here are sold in 10 meter wraps only

I may order some climbing rope, sturdier and static, do you think it would be better to just order more and wait?
I will

I will have to duct tape the rope and cut it, since they only sell it in long wraps

I mean to attempt it with the 10 meter rope first if you can tie a correct knot on it. And yes, climbing rope would be a much better choice if you can get it.

Okay, thanks, got it 👌

Will try and get better ropes and try again

What are the correct knots? Snuggle hitch and slipknot yes?
