like my other tries i used an extension cord and a slip knot but i didn't actually tie it to my anchor, just wrapped it around since i didn't want to ctb today.

my first 3 tries were without padding, i tried positioning the noose both above and on my hyoid bone and it gave me the same results: the noose closed my throat and i couldn't breathe, after approximately 10 seconds i started gagging and just stood up. i also tried putting it right bellow my hyoid bone but i just got that head swelling feeling instead.

i tried another 4 times with padding, it didn't make much of a difference except that the swelling feeling got a bit stronger. on my last try i leaned slightly to the side and i got lightheaded? dizzy? im not really sure. also felt my limbs going a little weaker but it disappeared as quickly as it appeared and got replaced by swelling. i dont know if that was me actually getting close to passing out or not, I've never passed out before so i dont know what it's supposed to feel like.

what am i doing wrong here? i think im just applying all the pressure to the front of my neck and not to the sides of it. is the gagging normal and should i just bear it?
also sorry for posting so much about psh, it must be annoying

that was you getting close to passing out. and while i understand practicing, please be careful. you don't have to do full suspension to hang yourself. a lot of people have been successful with the method it seems like you're talking ab. just leaning forward into it. that's enough to kill you. so if you're not ready, please be cautious. and the lightheaded feeling is usually what people aim for in that position. you're out very quick and the rest is something you don't have to be awake for. there is some instances of survival instinct forcing people to stand up in that pose, but that doesn't mean you will.

thank you, im trying partial hanging not full suspension. dont worry im careful not to actually die while practicing
