I know all of them from when I was in a clinic to treat my depression. They had similar problems so it was easy get to know each other.
It's so nice having friends that actually understand you
Though now I kinda wish they didn't know me, so they wouldn't have to feel bad when I CTB...

I put 3 as I have 3 people I speak to regularly, but only through text messages I don't really see them. And I feel like I've only ever had surface level friends, no one I can really talk to about things. And honestly I don't really have much in common with any of them

I have a handful of acquaintances that would fall under the category of friend based on the nature of our relationships (participating in mutually enjoyed activities/discussion together).

The issue I have is that any sort of relationship is life affirming, so I feel extremely uneasy maintaining them. Relationships are based exchanging value with one another.

I am perfectly fine being alone. I was for most of my life, and (provided I ever have the courage to completely withdraw from all relationships), I will be again. It just seems as if it would be more trouble than it is worth at this point in time.

IRL, none. I'm a recluse.
Online, hard to say. You'd think my boyfriend would be my friend, but even then I'm not sure. Same with my other "friends." Maybe they care about me, maybe I'm being schizophrenic. I don't know. All I know is that, one day, I'll lose them. I always push people away in one way or another.
I want to accept that I'm not the sort of person who socializes. But I want to.

I have basically no friends, it's pretty telling that most people pressed the zero option combined with that other poll people where most people said they have tried therapy or medication.

1 friend we message eachother like once every couple months he has been my only friend not had any other friends since i left college in 2019. fortunately i have 2 younger brothers who i am still slightly social with but nothing like we used to be :/

Only really one now, where we keep in regular contact. Not including here- although ironically, I keep in better contact with people here than I do in real life. I've never been one for a large circle of friends. I usually had around 3 or 4 people who were closer.

Losing my best friend (nothing dramatic, just lives moving in opposite directions) was massively painful at the time. I think that and some other things taught me not to rely on friendship/ people so much.

I would say that I have two real friends. I know a lot of people, and we will exchange pleasantries when seeing each other, but I wouldn't call them my friends because we're just not that close. I feel like I don't mesh well with most others in society. I feel like most people don't get me, and I don't get them. So, the best friends that I do have, I am very thankful for. They understand me and they're genuinely kind to me, and we have lots in common.
