How long would it take for your body to be found?

I have multiple scenarios. The first is my intention the other two is if I get desperate or in the moment I feel doing something different.

Reason found: scheduled email for welfare check
Method: full suspension hanging in garage
Found: 24+ hours after death?

Hopefully 24 hours a good amount of time for a scheduled email.

Reason found: more public so police will be called
Method: full suspension hanging off deck (night)
Found: 6+ hours after death (morning)

Reason found: wait for my family to discover the body
Method: hanging from bedroom rafters
Found: a few or more days after death

It would take the smell of a rotting body for my family to realize I was dead.

How long do you think it would take to find your body?

Method: Severed femoral rectus and bleeding out
Found: 6-12 hours (I still live with my family atm)

Might survive, might not. I just hope my brother isn't the one to find me. I'm considering going missing before I ctb so my parents don't have to see me in such condition, and it will take longer to find me.

Going for full suspension or partial. Will leave myself a 2 hour window at minimum from when I know my partner gets off work. It could be longer than that f I make an attempt right after he leaves for work.

I'm planning to leave a scheduled email too. If I have my phone on me, I can be found easier wherever I am; I won't be doing it at my house. So.. maybe a day? The method I'm still unsure on. ):

It depends on if you live solo or not I suppose. Otherwise I think you would be rather surprised how quickly families find the body.

I have had three close people kill themselves, each with different methods. I talked with their families after, and they found out pretty fast, within hours, despite each of them being room shut ins.

But if you are living solo, then it probably will take until rent is due for someone to find you.

Hmmm... From the time I pull the trigger.. I'm sure I'll be found within 5- 10hrs or so.

With any luck, decades or more.
Intend to vanish in ocean or deep woods and take steps to be well concealed (weights or digging) so remains would be lost.

In advance slowly disconnect relationships and disappear from people's consciousness so they'll just think we've lost touch.

And no mess for anyone to have to deal with!

Right now? Probably not long, my family is either asleep or scrolling on Twitter in the corridor.

In my ideal scenario where I'm living alone or with someone just as insane as me? God I don't know, could take weeks. Will never afford a house so the time it'll take for a nearby flat to smell my decaying body through the walls.

Months for me. I live alone in a house. I don't talk to anyone anymore. I barely even get wrong number phone calls anymore. The only reason I would be found would be once it has been long enough for the bank to foreclose on the house and then when they send someone out to take possession that's when I would be found. So it likely would be 6 months to a year. I've considered sending a couple of letters, mailing them after the mail passed that day so they don't get picked up until the next day and then delivered a day or two minimum after that... meaning I should easily be long dead before a recipient could call to check on me and I have a chance to retrieve the letters the next morning if my attempt fails.

About 1-2 days. A scheduled email will alert my doctor, asking them to alert the police. They'll know that they will find my body. I'm wearing an official dnr necklace, so the chances of being revived are limited (but unfortunately not zero)

I've been thinking about this many times, I live alone and am not working over the summer. No one would notice my absence to question anything. I have no family and very few friends/contacts,no one would again question my 'absence.'

It comes down to in that case my body decomposing in my apartment until a neighbor notices and thinks enough about it to call a landlord or police or something. Either that or my rent not being paid and eventually someone noticing a strange situation from that. Ugh.
