as the title asks - how long do I have to keep SN in my stomach before it is moved into the small intestine then absorbed into my bloodstream?

I will be taking antacid.

If your stomach is empty around 10 minutes should be more than enough time. It should be even faster with meto as it speeds up stomach emptying.
My plan is to take a backup glass if I puke before ten minutes and/or if I'm still conscious after 20 minutes.

It really depends on the person. For instance, there was someone in the non-fatal attempts thread who took their SN drink, immediately vomited, and still passed out and would have CTB if someone hadn't helped them.

So unfortunately, there isn't really a crystal clear answer. It depends on factors you can't really measure numerically. That's why they recommend fasting prior to taking it, since that is something that helps you process it more quickly and prevents other things in your stomach from interfering with the absorption of the SN.

Naturally, the longer you go before vomiting the more you will absorb. And vomiting doesn't immediately mean it will be a failure either. Most people lose consciousness within 10-20 minutes of taking it though, so it does work extremely quickly. I'm no professional, but if you wanted a concise answer, if you take a sufficient dose and keep it down for even 10 minutes, it has a really good chance of succeeding.

And if you have enough SN, it's good to have a backup drink(s) to take as well in case of vomiting. That will increase your chances even further. I wish you the best of luck ^^

I whole heartedly believe making sure your stomach is empty is more important than antiemetics are.

This is just my opinion .What I would do for SN would be fasting , Meto , SN and water . make 3 cups for me 25 grams SN in 60 ML water each. take first cup and then backup glass if puke and 20 minutes if still conscious . I never believed in antacid nor propranolol (or whatever). And now the new SN protocol they said PN said no antacid no propranolol. SN in water is the key ingredient : nothing else is needed imo although Meto does seem to help with preventing vomiting and moving SN to intestines .
what is meto? sorry for my ignroance

Hmm if the person only failed due to being "helped" by someone, then to ensure ctb success with SN, rather than just focusing on preventing vomiting through antiemetics, we should also really focus on how to not get discovered. Imo not getting discovered is of utmost importance to a successful suicide plan and members should talk more about this. Maybe we each need to arrange to go to some hotel or airbnb in some rural area far from a hospital and ctb there. Imo simply living alone isn't enough because that alone doesn't prevent you from the possibility of calling 911. Not only do we need to not be found by someone else, we need to prevent ourselves from reaching out to get medical "help".

Meto is short for Metoclopramide, an antiemetic medication that is recommended when a person is going to CTB using SN. Meto helps empty the stomach faster in to intestines and also reduces the chance of vomiting after consuming SN. I want to note that you can still vomit even with using Meto or any other antiemetic and is the primary reason having a second drink of SN ready is highly recommended.
