Hi,
I have extremely limited resources. Currently no access to a car, no money and chronic illness.
Due to this I am thinking of using hypothermia method and freezing to death outside. If possible I would use alcohol or edibles to aid in this but I'm not sure if that will be advavlable. If anyone has any ideas given my circumstances please let me know.
Im really desperate

I hate being cold. I think it would be a pretty miserable way to go. If you aren't successful you would have severe frostbite which might require amputating body parts.

Not the worst method I've considered myself, especially if you drink a good amount of alcohol. The alcohol actually causes your body to release more heat than normal. It also gives you a warm feeling when youre out in the cold. Ultimately my goal in this method would be to pass out from the alcohol so that dying in my sleep were accomplished. If you pass out in cold enough weather without adequate clothing you will likely not wake up.

Thank you
It gets to about 10-20 degrees Fahrenheit at night here and there is a good layer of snow on the ground
If you wanna talk more about the method send me a message

I think you should consider how cold it is, how long it will stay at that temperature, wind chill, and if the environment is wet or dry.

Also I'm not a drinker but doesn't alcohol warm you up? I'm pretty sure drinking alcohol wouldn't benefit you in this situation.

And like someone previously said, if you don't do it right you'll end up with frostbite which could result in amputation of the fingers, toes, ears, or nose which would put you in an even worse position.

I'm in a similar situation to you with the no vehicle access and no money. I couldn't buy a gun but I could get something to hang myself with which I will try tonight. Idk what other methods there are really when you're broke, ill, and no way to travel :(

Thank you
It is gonna be about 13 degrees Fahrenheit tonight for several hours and there is a good layer of snow on the ground. I'm most worried about the pain in the early stages of freezing and the lack of resources I have to aid me.

"alcohol and hypothermia

Alcohol consumption significantly increases the risk of hypothermia by causing blood vessels to dilate (vasodilation), which rushes warm blood to the skin and creates a false sense of warmth while rapidly accelerating heat loss from the body's core. This effect, combined with impaired judgment and suppressed shivering, can cause dangerous drops in body temperature.
Key Mechanisms and Risks
False Warmth & Heat Loss: While alcohol makes skin feel warm, it actually reduces core temperature by moving heat away from vital organs to the surface.
Vasodilation: Alcohol causes blood vessels near the skin to open up, increasing heat loss.
Impaired Shivering: Alcohol inhibits the body's natural shivering response, reducing the ability to generate internal heat.
Impaired Judgment: Alcohol leads to poor decision-making, such as neglecting to wear proper clothing, leading to faster cold exposure.
Paradoxical Undressing: In severe cases, people with hypothermia may feel burning hot and remove their clothes, accelerating death."

Yeah that's below freezing. I'm sorry you don't have any other way out, best of luck to you.

Wear drenched clothes, it will make the process significantly faster. Also drink alot of alcohol to potentially pass out
