There are so many scumbags online that say they've experienced DPDR (depersonalisation and depersonalisation) but price gouge truly sick people in need of help. They conduct long winding videos that lead no where and offer expensive personal sessions which may help you - but - they have no expertise.
Has anyone ever had this? I have CPTSD, depression and these two conditions which have completely ruined my life for the past 4 years. Man, I thought my school life was hard, fuck that was a breeze in comparison to this. I'm bored of everything, totally dead inside, don't recognise myself or others, no emotions, separated from my memories and have bouts of deep existential dread.

Death is paradise in comparison to this.

I only cling on because I don't know how to kill myself, nor do I have the will to be able to do so. Please, if anyone knows anything, let me know.

It would seem the solution to ailments these youtubers faced was becoming a conniving, scummy snake oil salesman youtuber themselves. Presumably through the money and status as an 'expert' they are high on life and start harvesting loosh from sufferers.

DPDR is a horrendous situation, sad to hear you are suffering from CPTSD, depression, and other ailments. Bouts of extreme emotional conditions can bring me there for extended periods, but also drugs (in a less unpleasant and less terrifying way, though it can be).
Generally activity of NMDA and related systems like glutamatergic systems are thought to be related to dissociation. Unfortunately, they are extremely complex and there is no simple way to 'get things in balance' as far as I know (maybe much easier to get them completely out of whack and out of balance). Some people use NAC for its purported glutamate-regulating capabilities. Some people just pop an NAC every couple days and it cures all their depression, DPDR, anxiety, schizophrenia, you name it, supposedly. Reading about various substances online it seems a ton of people are very lucky and fix their issues with common OTC supplements without having to dig much deeper. Some of us have especially horrible genetics and this is not the way it works for us.

You'll see that treatments for DPDR include things like self-hypnosis and SSRIs per wikipedia. So seeing a professional psychiatrist is probably gonna give the same result as the youtube snake oil speechwriters. Usually NMDA receptor antagonists are thought of as having the capability to induce dissociative states. Antagonists would be ketamine, PCP, memantine, DXM (attainable easily on amazon). I am NOT recommending you try any pharma, but experimentation might help you see some trends or what impacts the situation for you, but it could also make it worse too so better to avoid frankly.

It's just too complicated honestly, there could be so many causes and potential treatments. It could turn out you need clozapine, or simply supplement with NAC, or maybe you actually need an antagonist like memantine, or maybe you need to change your diet. The problem is what doctor/psychiatrist is gonna sit down and really apply that hardcore deep knowledge to help you fix it. You could spend hundreds of thousands and get nowhere because psychiatrists just don't care, you are just another 15-30 minute meeting in their busy day to hurry up and send home and shut your mouth stop complaining etc.
