How do you find a high enough jump point—at least 50 meters, onto a hard surface?


I live in France. I just realized they might have installed safety netting on the 70-meter footbridge I'd found 350 km from home...

That's the second jump spot I've lost—after a 60-meter rooftop... it's driving me crazy

Living in France, it's really hard to find very high spots that aren't secured. Plus, I don't have a car, so I can't go out and scout locations... And the info is often outdated; some spots that used to be unsecured have since been secured... How do you go about scouting locations?
Even when looking through Airbnb (apartment rentals), I can't find any apartments with a balcony that is high enough?

J'ai le même problème. Pas d'endroit assez haut pour être 100% sûr d'y rester sans finir lourdement handicapé... Et cette putain de canicule qui me rend dingue. Sérieux, vivement que ce merdier se termine (pas seulement la canicule mais cette survie qui n'a aucun sens).

Hey there, my French friend... It's driving me crazy... Some people are lucky enough to live in high-rises—they just have to open the window and jump. If I had the chance, I'd do it right now... I can't even find an Airbnb that works—either they aren't high enough, or there are things that might break the fall. In hotels, the windows don't open... Certain spots or viaducts have been secured... I can't risk going there for nothing; my loved ones keep a pretty close eye on me... I don't drive, so getting around is a huge hassle... It drives me nuts—people living on the 15th floor and up are incredibly lucky...

Exactement. Si la méthode SN ne demandait pas d'être une douzaine d'heures à jeun, je serais extrêmement tenté de boire la potion ce soir. Si j'avais du N, la probabilité que je la boive dans l'instant serait encore plus élevée. Ma corde est prêt aussi avec le noeud fait (mais pas de point d'ancrage). Putain de merde, il y a toujours un truc qui déconne avec ces méthodes ! Moi je dirai que la vie vaut 5% le coup d'être vécue. Cela n'a aucun sens. Aujourd'hui encore une journée de torture (réellement) avec tous mes troubles qui explosent à cause de cette putain de canicule sans fin. Mais après ce sera autre chose (terrorisme, inflations, etc)donc ça n'arrêtera qu'à la mort. Il devrait y avoir beaucoup plus de suicides dans ce monde vu toutes les problématiques. Du matin au soir l'existence n'est que problématique. Quand peut-on "jouir" de la vie ? Jamais (en tout cas pour nous autres suicidaires).

The problem is getting there... in the mountains, it's impossible without a car, and there's security at the skyscrapers.

Well, I'm french as well and, when this shitty heatwave's over, my plan is to take a bunch of trains, like 5-6, it's a ridiculous amount, I know but it's worth it, since I also don't own a car and jump from one of the highest point of the Opal coast (a quick google search'll give you quite a few locations)

If the results I got from a site that gives you the earth's topology, it should be a 100+ meter drop so yeah, pretty sure I won't come back from that lmao

I'd rather wait it out since, with my luck, if I get in a train, say, tomorrow, some caterary's going to rupture and I'll be stuck in some town for a little while

I'd rather wait it out since, with my luck, if I get in a train, say, tomorrow, some caterary's going to rupture and I'll be stuck in some town for a little while

The big problem with cliffs, for me, is that you can bounce off the edge, and it's not always easy to fall straight to the ground without hitting anything.
