How do you deal with your emotions ?
Do you access to them right away and expressed how you feel or deal with them in other ways?

i just run away, thats about it, but ive been pivoting towards stop running away, feel and process the pain.

I will try to use DBT skills first to lessen them which does work to some degree but not always lessen it to the point of it being manageable. If its to do with a person then I ask them for reassurance but If I feel like I might be too much of a burden I will keep it to myself and less express it or ask if I can express it. If its guilt or shame related I am more wanting to self harm to punish myself. If its anxiety or emptiness and I can't go to anyone that can take care of it then eat food or try to sleep it off tho in extreme cases of these I also use self harm.

In one if the manual says to use sex and I was like bro what??? I mean ik what for when dysregulated but still

I forgot which manual.
Idk if anyone uses it I just bottle it up and never deal with it. Even if someone makes me angry or sad.

what manual do you have???? cus whatever I been told at my DBT group hasn't said that lol. I have been just taught opposite action, checking facts and basic things like breathing and putting your head in cold water to handle emotions.

Tho for some people that sure that does help. I mean to add on my original list of things to cope I often masturbate a lot and I have used sexting as a way to lessen emptiness. Can't be depressed if you horny right? (at least thats what its like for me)

Sure ill try to find it tho but it doesnt say like a step by step? If thats what you mean plus idk if its bad cuz its in Spanish.
