I've been pretty lonely lately as it sometimes feels like no one wants to talk to me or I'm too socially awkward to talk to anyone. At the moment I cope with buying food and soda and also by watching youtube and playing games so my normal ways of coping with depression.

Hm. I get really drunk and play online games or write on social media a bit. Next time I log on I have some new friends outta nowhere . Or just being drunk enough to not care helps. All I got sorry.

For me, it's browsing SS. it's the only thing that really makes me feel less alone anymore, I guess youtube is alright as well although half the crap content creators post on their nowadays is cringe. I used to like gaming and watching sports but my depression is so bad lately that I simply can't. Also, i love your posts CoolGuy9.
I imagine it's not of any use, but since I was asked I will answer. I don't experience any amounts of loneliness despite being homeschooled and isolated more than most personally. I'd prefer to be alone than near people personally.
Forgot to add the edit in but I will now, for reference your feelings aren't your fault or mean you are defective in any way. I don't think feelings are largely a choice.

Talk to strangers on the internet, cuddle my big cat plush, daydream, the usual. I used to make friends on multiplayer games. Some people indulge in camming. I don't have the confidence or privacy for that. Still, I imagine it's fun.
I read forum posts here and live through the lens of nostalgia to convince myself that just having a symbol of what would make me happy is enough. It's never enough, of course.
I play an online game and that helps quite a bit. I find it really easy to communicate and meet people on there. Sometimes I don't even interact with people though, but it's just nice knowing you're on a game surrounded by people. I don't know if you're into games or not, but it's pretty simple and fun to me. So that'd probably be my main suggestion is to see if there's an online game you enjoy.
Sometimes I want to be left alone and in those times I will watch something or play something single-player or whatever. YouTube is great too, I love like scary stories and stuff on there. If you have people to hang out with, that's always my first option if I am feeling lonely and I can hang out with them, but if not I just think playing stuff online is the next best thing.
For me personally, I choose to isolate myself from people as it is what I prefer and I do not feel lonely as in lacking connection to others. The loneliness I experience is an empty feeling, I feel trapped with my own thoughts. I try to sleep as much as possible and try to distract myself in any way but the emptiness always remains. I think it is a part of me.

Usually I watch YouTube, but since my brain hates me, my thoughts often get clouded with loneliness. Then I cry for a bit, then watch YouTube again. Repeat.
I don't, and I don't think it is possible. Even if you do shit all day to forget about it, the minute you stop doing them loneliness will come. And after sometime even the things you do to forget about loneliness will not be enough. I guess the only way would be embracing it. We run away from it all our lives but does it help? We all know the answer. So this time don't run away from it. Go towards it like it is someone or something dear to you. Hug it, kiss it, sit with it and spend time with it. All your life it chased you and you run away, this time you chase her and you might be surprised what happens next.
Drugs, food and streaming. Occasionally, I torture myself by looking at people, places and things I enjoyed before my health and life fell apart--that makes for some long nights.
Just a sensation, not even that painful if it's not played out of proportion. So, mindfulness in combination with not wanting to make a big deal out of it. Still my largest source of emotional pain though (just the lack of romantic affection, no need for friends).
I have so many interests, and the world at my fingertips (the internet) that I'm continually learning and reading.
I look at this as a gift. I'm also an artist, so my time is filled.
