I guess the way that I see it, how others react after my death would not matter to me, as I will no longer exist at that point. All humans will be forgotten about eventually and all life is temporary after all. I think that I would personally try to find a way to tell those left behind, I would leave some kind of note, so they know what has happened and they have some closure.

The only way I see is to cut them off or be transparent with them. They will appreciate either. You will inevitably hurt them if you don't do that.

I had a friend last July and we were getting closer but the guilt of secretly being suicidal was too much and caused me to ghost him. Like what, do I make a bunch of promises for the future and act like I'll be around just to kill myself? I might be a good for nothing piece of shit but I'm not in the business of hurting people unnecessarily

i feel had too. however, i'll most likely leave a letter for each one of them, giving them some wise words about life and how they shouldn't grieve me at all. everyone experiences grief and loss in their life, it's inevitable. so whether i die now or in fifty years, it'll hurt just as much. that's what comforts me

Can you delay a text message?

Yes you can do this. I have a texting app called Pulse SMS for Android which does this. I'm planning on using scheduled emails for a similar reason when I CTB, but I'm also going to do a scheduled text as a backup.
