If you cannot/dont want to/are waiting to ctb then live your life to the best of your ability. The only real risk of maintaining relationships is that you may still have them if/when you want them.
My decent to isolation was gradual and then permanent. I don't know how old you are but once school is over and people start having families of their own it becomes really difficult to make new friends.
Don't force yourself there it's not a fun place

Its not in human nature to be isolated from relationships so you're asking for the impossible. Its like trying to be 100% okay with only eating nutriloaf. You'll go insane.
