• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

Sky diving and bungee jumping, maybe even try VR. Most people die of a heart attack before they reach the bottom. But if you think you'll regret it, then don't do it. Until you have no regrets and just resolve. Ctb, is such a easy thing. But it's also a quick solution to sometimes fixable problems.

Okay, jokes aside OP... there is no one here who can predict any regret that anyone may have.

I feel like that qoute was a little out of context. I saying that the option of ctbing is a quick and easy one to resort. When sometimes it may not be called for. And I'm not saying that there must be a valid reason, or that one reason is more valid then another. I'm just saying a person should always be sure they want to, because there's no turning back. Once you step off that ledge. And I'll be honest, I feel like everyone must have some regret. I know i probably will, cause I'm indecisive. But that's why resolve is important. You should always consider every possible option, peer pressure aside. And if you know the feeling will persist into a perpetual life misery, pain, loss, hurt, or etc. Then you're closer to making a more calculated decision.

Thank you for clarifying. Anytime I hear anyone say anything to the effect of CTB as being "easy", it sounds off internal alarms.

This scene right here was what freaked me out and dissuaded me from jumping as a method. I'm not trying to convince you against it to be clear. Only you can decide for yourself if the idea of it scares you. It's worth giving this a look though. I even first joined this site trying to look for a transcript of this poem only to see someone else had posted it here. It also compelled me to try to find a more peaceful method too...

Everyone is different but I watched a documentary on the Golden Gate Bridge where the few survivors all admitted as soon as they took the leap they regretted it immediately. Then they had their epiphany that they were meant to live and....etc...etc... etc...

There's really no way to tell until you actually do it.

But for practise, enjoy sky diving to get used to the feeling? Or bungie jumping as someone has already suggested. Hey, you might even ironically find a new hobby.

I have to agree even if you did have a heart attack when falling doesn't mean you die immediately, my uncle had one and he was very pale cluctching his chest, had to lay down but he was conscience 20 minutes later when the ambulance arrived who confirmed he had an heart attack, so considering you free fall for maybe 20 seconds it won't be the heart arrack that kills you.

I have read reports from jumpers who said as soon as they let go they regretted it I think it's a natural response from the SI but if your unsure maybe it's not for you.

Cheers

Geo

From everything I've researched, it's pretty much guaranteed that you ARE going to regret it as soon as you jump. That's just the way it works- your body is a deceitful, cunning piece of machinery designed to keep all these little parasitic cells churning as long as possible. There are very few people resolute enough in their suicidal feeling such that the survival instinct can be totally subdued. The way I look at it is to understand that, if your life is genuinely so painful that it's pushed you to that point, you've gotta just overlook the short moments of your body trying to make you survive with empty regrets and fear in service of the greater relief you'll experience upon smacking the ground and going dark.

Jumping (depending on height) is a few seconds. Then you own the ground. The jump doesn't kill you. But the sudden stop on impact does. If you can get to a jump location be like the birds and fly. If I didn't have social anxiety I would go that way.

Yeah. I know I shouldn't

But what if society isn't watching?

"Every trip must come to an end"
"See you on the other side"
"There is no other side. This is it."

That really hit home. Thank you for sharing.
