A deep stigma around suicide in Ukraine is standing in the way of saving soldiers' lives.
www.bbc.co.uk
The long war between Russia and Ukraine in the Donbas region has resulted in many hundreds of suicides amongst military personnel according to this report.
Interesting article. I always thought being a soldier sent to war was probably the toughest position to be in. To have to kill or be killed. One of my biggest fears in life was that I kill somebody, I used to have nightmares over it. I'm also familiar with the stigma of suicide in orthodox Christianity since I know quite a few of them and their customs and traditions.
