My mom used to beat me when I was a kid. I wasn't able to defend myself then.
If she hit me now she would get such a blow back that she would fly through my balcony window, no joke.

Hi Elizabeth,
Why did your mum hit you was it for no reason, the trouble is your a young adult you could retaliate and hit her back or call the Police but unless the property is in your name she can legally force you to move out.
So I'm afraid you have very limited options available if you can escape to someone you know or if you can look at the long term goals like getting a job and moving into your own place, then you never have to talk to them again.

@Jumper Geo, respect - but it's not true that @Elizabeth or anyone else *has* to put up with being abused. There are organizations that can help her find a safe place to live.

Sorry I'm going by what I know in the UK there are places but they are full and the waiting list can be years there are so many people under 21 years of age on the streets in the UK who have come from abusive families.

Yes I agree it's best to approach these organisations prior to making a decision to leave so your registered and know what and if anything is available you could search and look at YouTube video's of similar people your age who are homeless so you can see what organisations have helped them.
