Help! How do I know if this is the real one?

Admins, I've noticed the changes so please remove this if there are any issues. I'll try to keep it as non-descript as I can!

This has probably been asked many times so I apologize in advance. It took me a while to figure out that the first email was almost certainly fake. I had a suspicion from the start as it was in the first copy that popped up in a simple search for the latest edition on duckduckgo.

Before I finally managed to register an account in my blocked country, I spent weeks using a proxy and eventually found the email here in a backup link, that I believe is the right one. But the decision to go ahead with the purchase is a big one and there's a nagging doubt...

I thought this could be cleared up using the resources if I ever managed to register an account. Now that I finally succeeded, its gone!
It's not ideal but I just tried to message someone to help me verify. I can't figure it out, or maybe the ability to message might be temporarily down due to the recent situation.

Time is something I really don't have on my side so If anyone could help me I would be infinitely grateful.

Hello and welcome to SS. It appears that you do not have enough posts yet to directly message people. When you do have the ability to DM, I would carefully seek out trusted members and confirm with them the email address. Make sure to ask more than one person just to be sure.

Unfortunately with the current situation this place become a lot more private. The NYT doxxed a bunch of members including the site owners (who stepped down).

It's understandable that things have locked down a bit. I saw about the NYT and all the trouble they have caused...
