Resource Help a dumb uni student on research pls!

Hello, it is I asking for documents once again! Sadly I haven't been able to find much on my journey of pro-Euthanasia related media but that's not too much trouble as of now.

I'd also like to know if there's anyone out there who has access to any resource or paper related to POCD or pedophilia as a whole!
I know. Not too related to CTB, but it never hurts to ask. I trust at least one user here might have something

It's a very hard topic to research because there's always insane old studies that say "the experience is actually more traumatic for the pedophile than for the child they're molesting" or obviously biased stuff
Like I really don't want to dedicate my time to a book only to reach a chapter named "false memory syndrome is real + being gay makes you more likely to fuck a dog"

Please, if anyone has any recs, either put them here or dm me (if that's an option)? I'm still rusty on this site)

If you haven't tried JSTOR have you tried emailing academic professors? You can contact the, their information are available online.

Also POCD and pedophilia are quite distinct so you might want to niche out your research. Also idk if you'll find anything on the forum

Yeah, I am very well aware! I did not realize it might have sounded like I thought they were the same, I apologize. The project simply touches both subjects, but I'm perfectly conscious that they are both two very different things

Technically, yes
I stated very clearly on my form)? when I was signing up on the site what the purpose of me making an account was, so I assumed it was all fine.
I supposed the best place to roam around when focusing on the right of self-imposed death was in here. I remember that back when I was on my own CTB journey I had found some good sources floating around here

I'm afraid I can't help out with resources. This quote struck me though. Do you suppose there's any truth to it? I believe sometimes those who perpetrate these crimes were victims themselves. So, perhaps there is a kind of flasback horror and the additional horror that they are now the perpetraitor. I suppose they could feel immense guilt but, still do it. Why do they feel so compelled to do it then? Especially repeat offenders. If it's actually 'traumatic' for them?

I suspect more, that that is just one part of the reaction. Horror at what they've done. Horror about how others will perceive what they've done. Surely though- in order to do it, they must compartmentalize the part of themselves that could- and absolutely should stop themselves.

I think that statement is so disrespectful to the victims too. It's obvious how much sexual abuse in childhood utterly screws people up. I simply don't believe that the perpetraitors suffer more.
