Have you met a fraud in SaSu?

I watch videos where people catch predators online and expose them to media. These kind of videos are satisfying because they feel like provided justice. But if someone expose my activity here to my parents are media it will be very problematic for me, My mother would be sad, My friends will treat me like stranger, etc. But the one who exposed me will get treated like he got justice. Because the world sees SaSu as harmful thing. So a normal man may try to do things kind of stunt because according to him he is a life saver. I tried to discuss this in a deleted post but it was made weirdly poetic so I deleted it. So what's your opinion on this?

I met some frauds on SaSu. But I am a longterm user. 3 users come into my mind. Two of them felt sus to me. They tried to approach me get my phone number or wanted to talk to me on discord. I rejected both. My paranoia saved me. There was a third user that I didn't suspect to be a fraud but they texted women on here in private messages in an inappropriate way. Maybe lying about their own gender. I dodged all bullets thus far. But I am not engaged in private conversations that much.

Met a guy that was weirdly pro-life on Discord SS server, always seemed to want users to recover and wouldn't respect their reasons to why they don't want to recover. Believes anyone can can recover etc just pro-life behaviour, anyways he got kicked. Don't know what he was doing there, cause he seemed too pro-recovery for SS spaces and didn't get us in trouble.

I met someone who I really liked and I think she was being honest, but I was always afraid she wasn't. We chatted and knew each other for a while. I stopped talking to her recently because she was doing better and I still think I may ctb, probably over 50% chance, and so I didn't want to traumatize her. I told her though I wanted to stop talking for at least a while since I didn't know how things would go. She understood.

I do wonder why the 'social' aspects of the site aren't largely (or even exclusively) member-gated. Not that that would solve all the problems, but having hard info be public facing and the rest be private just seems like a much more fitting setup. Inertia I suppose.

They made a post on sasu, I DM'd and got an email address that was very similar to what later Id found out had been the previous email address if someone selling N.

He gave me a bitcoin address, I sent the money to it, and he said he would post it. I never got it, ir heard from him again

i met maybe 2/3 proo-lifers on SaSu. They are pretty obvious. But I think they showed up when the site gains attention. Like with the OFCOM drama and before that there was some Youtube drama that took place in 2021 or 2022 and it regained attention in 2023 (I can't remember what triggered that).

ohhh... so my fears of a fake seller capturing addresses aren't thaaat illogical. Tho even fixthe26 isn't that motivated to run scams to fund their attempts to take down SaSu via section 230 amendments, so ig it's unlikely for

Side note, one may be able to report the transaction (idk where tho) and if the exchange the scammer used, has KYC, the logs can still correlate the scammer even years later.

Thanks, yeah I probably should have reported it to police but chances are thos guy is in some country nobody can do anything about. And ai suspect he used anonymising services to launder the money

unfortunately... let's just hope that a tax mismatch will at least get him caught for tax evasion, and from there the charges can build up.
