Has anyone here thought about the logistics of jumping?

Almost anywhere that is high enough to jump from is either really hard to access (like building roofs) or has a large guard rail that would be difficult to mount and jump head first off of. What do you think is the easiest way to make sure you fall head first? Should you put one leg over then face back towards the rail then put the other leg over and lean back? What do you think? Maybe there is a good place to jump with out all these problems, preferably in the U.S. But I don't want to jump off a cliff and get impaled by a tree either/

The day my mother died in the hospital, I tried to run up to the roof to ctb. Every hospital roof-top access point was blocked. Every one. It was one of the only times in my life when a long drop wasn't frightening to me. I just wanted gone. Now I'm too frightened of the thoughts that would flood my mind as I'm falling & waiting for the end. I've been many places since where I could've just taken a plunge--like countless mountain paths (Appalachian Trail...), but the time to impact... Hope you figure it all out.

What's crazy is hearing all the stories of people who survived their jumps despite the odds. I think I recently heard one story on YouTube of a guy that jumped the Golden Gate bridge and another story of a person that jumped off a bypass bridge into traffic. Both obviously survived and just sufferred a bunch of broken bones. Honestly, even if I had the nerve to jump I feel like I'd be part of the unlucky few that survived.

I would think that the odds of surviving are highly influenced by the place you land on e.g. concrete vs. plants/trees.

Hmm, there is somewhere 2 people have died that I could get to, a bridge, but it's only 40m high so the fact that 2 people has died doesn't convince me that it's a good enough option and I have no idea how painful it would be.

Consider radio towers too. They're typically not too hard to access, often aren't in populated areas, and can be very tall.

I initially wanted to suicide by jumping. SI stopped me and its just upsetting. I can travel to cliffs but never able to motivate myself to jump over the edge. Its still at the back of my mind but considering other methods like hanging and starvation. Starvation only because the consequences of failing doesn't seem as punishing compared to jumping/hanging. Hard mentally to not eat anything yet I can conceal it from anyone. Just worried about illnesses/cramps/etc kicking in the more I starve.
