As for me, maybe 2 or 3 people in one year tried to provoke me but I just either ignored them or explained to them in a kind way that I was not interested in fighting here on SS because that's what the rest of the internet is for lol.

I know I definitely made one person super angry, they tried private messaging me even after I expressed not wanting to fight or argue. I just left the conversation not reading any of it because it's tiring. You don't owe anybody an explanation if you don't want to give one. I've had arguments, sure, but I try to move on from them, or away from them..it's usually the other person who won't cut the shit.
I am perfectly capable of going on a case by case basis and vehemently arguing with one person on one topic, and then fully agreeing with them on an unrelated topic.
But if the topic personally affects me and someone tries to trivialize it or misrepresent it, you bet your ass I will be speaking up (in the only place I really can.)
If that means making enemies, so be it.

I don't know what the situation was with you though, was it a public argument or a personal disagreement that lead to the creation of an "enemy" within another person here?

The other day I had a short unpleasant interaction with a guy who posted a comment in which he boasted that he didn't want to die. He said he was actually very happy & then he proceeded to attack a random member with a bunny in their profile pic on a random thread for contributing to mass animal slaughter by not being vegan. i am not going to waste my time by taking offense from people who I never have met in real life. I usually tell people (people that I know) to come see me at my office when they want to get in an argument. I will not do it over the phone, email, text, or chat. If they got something to say, then they must do it in person, only in person. Don't hide away.

I guess everyone has different views on things and there is bound to be arguments. I haven't and from what I've seen everyone here seems to be decent people who have been treated badly by life. I can relate to a lot of the posts here. I think existence is the true enemy!

I hope not. I would never purposefully upset anyone. We are all struggling and suffering - it is never my intention to contribute to someone's pain. I am truly sorry if I ever have offended anyone here.

I have at times read comments that upset me, but if that happens I try to step back, not engage and remember that the other person is hurting too. A stark difference in opinion doesn't change the commonalities we share, that we are all suffering in life and all want to end our pain.

If someone posts something particularly disrespectful or offensive, I report it quietly rather than start an altercation, which would only upset them and me.

I am sorry to hear that you feel you have made an enemy here. I hope this is not the case and that the situation can be resolved. You seem like a kind person from your posts and it's evident you mean no harm.

Nope, I try to purposely avoid that because it's not worth the effort. Even if someone misinterprets what I said or is an asshole I don't feel any better trying to argue so I just let everything slide and deescalate except one time.
