Get sleep deprived enough if you haven't. As in, not casual, passive. Talking really pushing the limits.
That will hurt really but also you're probably going to get a little bit of brain damage.
Not that substances are that much better.
Substances, no needles needed. Can be alcohol, medicine. Can be regular food. Eat until you're full and then continue going even further. You'll get sick pretty quickly if you have that amount of food somewhere.
This will affect your health badly. Physical and absolutely mental.
It's one of the things I'd add if I ever made a guide "how to make your life even worse, a speedrun".
I'm really, really talking harsh extremes here, a litle bit like the sleep thing. Push your body beyond it's intended purpose far enough and it will complain.
More ideas, let's go. Keep your windows open at the coldest of nights with the coverage of your choice but it can get physically painful pretty quickly.
Never thought I'd ever be an enabler.. very unlike me, but pain is often simply needed.
You want to avoid bruising as well or..? Because a hammer, be it construction or the one you use to flatten meat with exist.. But be very careful with that, you DO NOT want to shatter anything.
Eat spicier food than you usually can, or sour, or mix milk and sugar if you are lactose intolerant, it will make it so much worse.
Dip your hands into really hot water. NOT BOILING, that will leave sever marks. But if anything, crank either the heat or the cold of the shower real high, depending on what you think will work the best.
Not fully sh but very, very loud music. This one is imbedded in me as last time I went out without knowing where my headphones were I nearly had a panic attack, but even if this isn't the case for you, loud music is nice. Listen to whatever it is feels best for you of course.
There are many non-physical ways to self harm. Financial, ez. Social, for some. If you're rich you can combine a lil and become a plastic surgery addict lol.
You want pain that is present and that will more directly ground you though, right?
If anything, get a piercing or two or a crazy tatoo.
I'm personally a heavy skin picker, not even some small moles survive me when nervous for long enough.
Piercings, choose for yourself if you want them to heal well or if you want to use them as a bit of an outlet as well. In my opinion they are an interesting way to cope sometimes.
Plenty of ways.. do only what you actually desire to do however.
As for when none of it is enough... we don't have very well taken care of emergency lines dunno for you but if they respond then that's a lot better than nothing.
Only cross your limits if you feel like you absolutely must. Otherwise listen to that small voice of reason if you can, no matter how reluctantly.
If you're ever torn between doing it and not doing it, try not to. It's the smarter choice for a reson. Much luck.
