Hanging

I work for a hotel company and recently we had a guy hang him self. He hung himself over the bathroom door and used belts. Anyone have insights to this method? I am thinking about it as a possible option.

Im going to hang myself over a door, probably not with a belt, but with a rope.

I was planning on just using the doorknob as the anchor point, though. Just feels like less moving parts.

I've always thought hanging was gruesome. Not in the the blood and guts sense, but in the pain and possible failure sense. When the time comes, my .357 pistol should do a quick job. And I realize many people in the world don't have access to guns.

How would a door knob of this type affect your ability to tie a knot to it? Seems like a perfectly normal door knob to me.

When we found him it wasn't that bad. And if done correctly it shouldn't be. The only thing that was messed up was his face since it obviously changes colors due to lack of circulation. But the environment and area was clean otherwise.

also going with this method. i've looked at hundreds of hotels in my area with photos of the rooms to find the ideal spot to hang myself

In his true crime novel In Cold Blood, Truman Capote describes the hanging of killer Lowell Lee Andrews in Kansas in the early 60's. The attending physician said his heart kept beating for about sixteen minutes after he was drop snapped. No mention of any evidence that he was still conscious.

It can happen quickly in both ways, Partial or Full Suspension(s) while the Judical long drop hanging is considered the most painless option because people see the body physical stop moving with the neck snap, but with Full-Suspension or Partial method it is just as painless in the event where it tricks the spectator that the body is still very much conscious and struggling when in actuality it's unconscious and going through seizures and post-Morton murmurs, But back then hanging was widescale and science limited, so naturally people speculated without scientific evidence to back it up, but now in the modern century we do not use hanging anymore, so everyone thinks it's painlfull due to movies and outdated information.
