Hi guys

Would hanging from the ceiling lamp hook work or would that break the hook loose from the ceiling?

I weigh 110 kg/242 lb.

Attached is the ceiling lamp hook in question.

my first instinct is to say hard no. my second is to tell you to weight test any anchor point by setting up the rope and placing a broom handle where your head will go then putting your weight on the sides. don't wait til an attempt to test this as it could very easily come out.

No no no... the anchor point is fundamental and the most important point. get a hook that can hold at least your weight, however the most common ones are 200-300 kg and then test the weight by attaching one of those dumbbells or other things that can be more or less than your weight and leave it for a day so you can see if it actually holds or doesn't hold and so you don't have any kind of doubt.
