What if you'd go for a full hanging but consume SN prior to just in case, however small the chance is, the knot releases or rope breaks at the wrong time leaving you as a vegetable but still alive. Ducktape your mouth shut in case you vomit afterwards so that you can choke to death on your own vomit if all else fails.

Seems like you'd have it all covered, hanging fails ----> SN fails ---> choke on vomit.
