H2S - do I have the right products?

I have access to the following:
- Muriatic Acid Commercial Grade 20º Baume (31.45%)
- Lime Sulphur (Calcium Polysulfide: 23%)

Will mixing 2 litres of each be enough to kill me in an enclosed space (vehicle)

I will of course post warning signs so as to minimize risk to others

Yeah, I should have noticed that in your title. I don't know what the volumes of you components will produce in the form of H2S, as far as ppm/car volume, but I'm sure someone will chime in. From the brief readings I've just done, though, it sounds like a really painful, unpleasant way to die. And you are right, it is dangerous to others who may find you. I know you plan on placing markings and such in the area, but you never know if something bad happens and someone else gets hurt. Just my 2 cents.

Someone who knows will chime in. Be patient. In the meantime, I found this about H2S, if you're interested. Read the abstract. Maybe you already read it. If so, just ignore it.

So reading that and related articles, the method seems highly reliable (ie almost always fatal). I just need to know if I have the right ingredients. Also of course I have to take care not to poison others so I'll be sure to put up warning signs.

Probably, yes. You could even roughly calculate it if you know the volume of your car's interior. Anything above 700ppm h2s is lights out, with > 2000ppm instantly fatal. Unfortunately, the risk to others is really high, regardless of signage. The average person doesn't even know what H2S is…

Your ingredients will work. Per the link from locked*n*loaded, your amounts should be enough.

Definitely be sure to post LOTS of signs on all sides of the vehicle. Also, per reading elsewhere here, wear goggles to protect your eyes while mixing. In theory, the amount of poison produced should be high enough that it will only take one or two breaths to kill you. If it takes longer, you'll be in agony from the throat burning.
