I really, REALLY should have seen this coming and I'm pretty embarrassed that I didn't. Hindsight is 20/20 and I have never actually dealt with a scammer before.
I knew this guy for a long while so I didn't think he was gonna do that. But I should have known better.
My irl friends are really generous and went ahead and sent me all of the money I lost out of their own bank accs. When I ctb I'll make sure to include a note to my mom/bf to take whatever I have left and pay him back.
I've never fallen for these scams. Ever. I'm usually really good at identifying them and being cautious. But drugs are a different story and I get desperate. I fantasize about taking them to help me further dissociate. I'm pretty upset because I wanted to trip acid at the beach but oh well.
It's not a loss for me because of my friend. And I'll attempt to actually buy via the dark web because apparently you can trust that more than the people you've been talking to for months.
