I want to preface this by saying, I completely condone goodbye threads. If I were to CTB myself, I'd probably also make one. I just want that to be made clear.

Now that that has been said, onto what I wanted to say. When I see goodbye threads, I feel a sense of overwhelming sadness now. I used to feel somewhat sad, but usually more indifferent than anything. Now it feels like I'm way more empathetic and I feel terrible seeing them. So much so that I don't really click on them or open them anymore, whereas I used to open them and leave a short message wishing them the best. Now I just feel sad seeing them. I remember, in the past, the only time I felt really bad for a goodbye thread was puffycloud's goodbye thread.

I think it's probably since I'm in a somewhat better and clear mental state right now, therefore my normal empathy isn't clouded by a negative view. I'm also off the site now more often than on as it's been a pretty busy past week and next weeks looking to be similar as I study and get ready for some quizzes and exams in some class, and heavy homework in others, on top of internship hunting. Anyways, I'm going on a tangent.

Does anyone else have a similar experience seeing those threads? Does anyone feel that sadness seeing one or is it just me?
