I think most people would take that as a flippant way of saying you knew they weren't going to go through with it, calling them incapable-or a chicken shit-essentially (which wouldn't be good in the context of suicide).
I'm not saying that was your intention, but it just didn't come across well, especially with the ":P" added, (unless you are friends with them? Or know something I don't.)

As for my comment, it was meant to be light-hearted and comforting. Like a way of reassuring him that we know it's not easy.

I too think God is trying to constantly punish me and for what? I have no effing clue! I try to be a good person. I've devoted my entire adult life to taking care of my severely disabled child and I'm just emotionally worn the fuck out. Seems like no matter what I do, how much I do exactly what I'm supposed to, God rains down the shit on me and I just can't take it anymore. I just wanna fuckin' scream all. The. Time!!! Why God, WHY?!?!

Just read this thread again and I see what you guys mean. Sorry about that, I should probably receive 10% for that one. In my head I was making a fun joke that Ghostly would appreciate but it could be interpreted as bullying or attacking.

Well, I don't believe in a benevolent God or something like that but I do believe in good and bad luck.

For instance, genes! We don't choose them but they define who we are. If my genes were a bit different, I wouldn't probably be suicidal! :(

Oher methods are hard enough, but imo, gunshot is one of the most fearsome, so it's not surprising that you weren't able to go through with it this time.
