Getting SN through customs, worth it?

So I currently live abroad for work and bought SN here no problems. Just preparing it for a rainy day.

If my mental health can manage it I may move back to the USA sometime this year or next. The expiration date on my SN is in 2024.

If I move home should I try to get the SN into the USA in my baggage or is that very illegal?

Just worried I may have to find some in the USA or resort to more violent methods if the rainy day arrives while in the USA…

It's completely legal to possess and transport. Should t be an issue. Just put it in your checked luggage. If you are questioned at customs it is used for sausage making and you are bringing it for a friend who hunts and processes their own meat.
Also: the smaller the bottle/package the better. Don't take 2 kg worth, that would raise eyebrows, but a smaller package up to 1 lb shouldn't be an issue.
You may be asked what it is (to make sure it's not drugs), so it's best to have it labeled and originally sealed.

I wouldn't recommend anything to do with know anyone who hunts or has meat, customs are known to verify so might prove that line, just play dumb and explain it's for curing meats and you want to try it. Going from what people are saying it's not a controlled substance that would need paperwork
