Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If trying to kill yourself is breaking the law..I dont know...I am held for treatment..a lawyer should be able to help, regardless of the reason..dont you think?..I dont know much about the law..just want to get out of here
My brother called the police, as he thought, I was trying to kill myself..I am non European as well

You can probably try to get a lawyer, but it's probably easier to try and hide any depressive/anxious symptoms. Make sure you eat, sleep and communicate normally and properly when in the ward. And be positive and tell them you have pending stuff/work/friends to meet or see to outside.
I found this tall bridge in Germany (like really tall) and tried to jump off it
Was sectioned in a german loony bin.
Spent a few months there. Tried to act normal but they were unimpressed and still kept me locked up.
Overall care was miles better than in Poland (my home country) and I wasnt constantly dissmissed, but...yeah
Shit situation
More details are needed to give a good response. Under which law were you convicted? Did you talk to a lawyer? Did you try an appeal?
If you're just now asking about lawyers, I am unsure if you were convicted. There appears to be a non-criminal process under which one could be held. Is that what happened?
I'm a bit surprised of the unconstructive and cynical replies in this thread. Is everybody just assuming that OP is trolling?
Realistically speaking - there must have been more involved than just a suicide attempt. I've never heard of somebody being committed to psych ward for such a long time if they were just a danger to themselves. I think more realistic in that case would be at most a week to calm down. I actually know at least to people who were in that situation and none were put away for more than a few days.
If somebody commits a crime and the judge considers a mental disorder at the base of it and deems you legally insane then the judge will send you to a psych ward (for treatment) instead of to a prison (for punishment). The problem is that in the former case you'll be at the whim of your psychologists to decide when you can be released. And that indeed is very questionable. There have been a few cases in the media - most promiment was Gustav Mollath and Michael Perez.
Are you there on your free will , or my family or doctors orders, if you above age yiy can disgorge yourself if on a free will or another adult to pick you up. If it's by doctors orders you might have a problem. I was commited on my own s few years snd knew I could leave at anytime I wanted. 3 longest weeks of my life and they wanted me to do another week, hell yes. Not!!!
