Funny but not funny

When people ask me what I'm up to and I'm feeling blue I tend to go with something like;
"Mainly listening to the Bee Gees man, it's all about the Bee Gees"
And they look at me disinterested, in their minds already scrolling through their phone and they say;
"Didn't realize you were that old"
I nod grimly and move on, but in my mind I want to yell in a high pitched tirade:
"I'M STAYIN' ALIVE!"
With the irony being lost like a drip in the ocean, I just grumble on

I'm 51 and suffer panicking attacks. My 72 year old mother will have no of it. I had one in the street today, I already limp. My mother with her bags starts sprinting & Im almost hysterical, on top on limping and calling out "Ma". I imagine it's quite a site seeing to gray hairs acting this way.
