Hi, i'm new here. I'm planning to go tomorrow with full suspension hanging. I'm doing it in the shower, my anchor point is a metal bar that goes into the brick wall and should hold my 44 kilos. my "rope" is a long shawl rolled until it resembles a rope, tried giving it my full weight and it held. The anchor point is so high up I need a stool which I'll kick away after I'm set. I'll be playing music and locked inside the bathroom with the shower going as I usually do. I might grab some antipsychotics I have lying around and get myself sedated beforehand. I'm just scared of those few seconds before it gets dark, as in I'm skeptical regarding the timeline. How long until you faint? How long until you die? Will I make much noise? I'm willing to bet it all on the locked door buying me enough time (parents will have to figure out something is wrong and then call fire department to cave the door in) and on that 80% success rate statistic I've seen around.
Thanks in advance everyone.

I am sorry, but I don't think it is safe to do it while your parents are next door. If they find you after 5 minutes and they rescue you, you'll have severe brain injuries from the attempt. Even after 10 minutes you could theoretically "be saved" and turn into a vegetable.

True, then I'll wait for them to be away for at least 1-2 hours. Even if it takes over 10 minutes, that should be enough. I'm still devastated at the thought of them finding me, but I suppose it's better than jumping.

Make sure your anchor point can support 2-3x your body weight. You'll be struggling as you pass out and after you pass out. Make sure also that your shawl can support that same weight.

Thanks! Sounds tricky to check but I'll make sure to tug as if struggling.
