Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

For what purpose would you use a really pretty diary?

If you had a really pretty, one of its kind, exceptional, rare, unique, beautiful, [ & some more related diary-adjectives to give you a sense of how special this diary is ], What purpose would you use it for? Why?

A diary can be discovered and if you bared your soul in one and really told how you felt, it could be used to force you into psychiatric care pronto. Never offer anyone information that can compromise your, thoughts, possible actions, and deeds. See X-files, "Trust no one!"

I already have one, and I use it to write down all my unique and wacky dreams I have. I haven't had much drive to write in it though as of late but if it's a really good one, I try to make habit of jaunting it down.

@makethepainstop I agree. At first, I did think maybe I can write my thoughts in it. But yeah if anyone finds it and reads it, they might not understand. Even worse, after ctb people might dissect each and every thought written in there and twist it to frame me as insane individual. @rationaltake that's a good idea. I'll have to find a special friend then. Hmmm I should give it to my sister, she's artsy. @Message In A Bottle that must be really interesting to read. Have you let anyone read it friends or family? @MellowAvenue hahahah, my diary is enjoying closet stay at the moment. @Sufi I understand. That's what I thought in the beginning, but people here are in a very different kind of mentality.
Thank you all for the suggestions.
I'd use it. I journal on/off and I get to play with my fountain pens. and I like cool stationary. As for being discovered, nothing in there isn't what I feel so I'm not afraid to be confronted by it; it may be mean or harsh but it's me. I also use my journaling as a way of documenting my thought progression when I eventually ctb, whether planned or spur of the moment. People always seem to say "he seemed so happy, blah, blah" and at the very least my wife would know what was in my head. If she wants to share that she can, I'll be dead. One of my favorite lines from Megadeth: "Just because I don't say it doesn't mean I ain't thinkin' it".
I definitely would NOT keep a diary of any sort. I don't need anyone in my family reading what was going on in my head. If they wanted to know what was going on with me they could've asked me while I was still here. They never have and likely never will.
Many years ago I get one from my father. I wrote only nice things and this without any negative behind. At this time I was in psych ward and had a really bad time. So it was difficult. Some years later I read it and was very happy about it. Because in my other diary I wrote only depressive things. It was so nice and helpful reading only good things, because the rest of my life was not everytime good.
I use a diary for writing down my dreams for meditation technique called lucid dreaming and a second one to help myself recognising emotions. However because I'm a big nerd my diary is an advanced, animated website application created in 100% by myself. This gives me a feeling of uniqueness and even small satisfaction which motivates me to write down what I need. Currently after some testing I decided I need to write a lot of bugfixes and improvements to my website so I will not show you how it looks... Maybe in the nearest future
