For all bipolar people: does Lamotrigine help?

I want to know if Lamotrigine improves my mood. I cannot really say that it does. I reduce it in order to know it or stop it at all, it's dangerous but I also have a lot of nasty side effects from it. It might kill me but whatever.
Does it ease your depression?

Yes, I was taking 150mg of lamotrigine and I started to get less downs.
Now, I'm only taking 100mg of it.

Also, I'm taking bupropion and quetiapine.

I'm still suicidal but I'm basically a productive human again in spite of being bipolar.

Doesn't help me. No drugs do except benzos. Thinking off stopping the lot and fuck what doctors say. 100 years ago maybe even 60 years ago none of these were invented. It's all a rip off designed to give people who can't see inside our minds jobs. They can't lose. Also mega bucks for pharmaceutical companies.

I've been on 200/mg.. 2x per day for 12 years. I am borderline. There is no specific medication for Borderline Personality Disorder. I tried to take my life after my brother took his own life. He was only 42. He went to a motel room and shot himself in the head.
I drank a pint of vodka and took 2000mg of Lamictal. Needless to say, I'm still here.
I've had no negative effect from Lamictal.

It helped me a lot! I was on it for about two years, 200-250mg a day. I really liked it.

you can try it. but no drug works for everyone. usually it's a long, long, process of experimentation. (and oftentimes involves finding the right shrink.)

so, lamotrigine didn't do shit for me.

I am feeling way better since I am taking it. However there were also other processes with me during that time. Not sure about it. Though I know when I tried to stop taking it I felt very suicidal and severly depressed.

i take 200mg after waking up and 200mg before going to sleep and - in combination with other meds - i do think it helps me a bit
