Ive hit myself hard enough for bruises or hit my head on walls, but i cut w scissors and honestly i can see why ppl can get addicted to it or do it often.. Anyways tmrw i have therapy, im planning on dumping a bunch of shit but i dont want my mom or friends to see the wounds, what should i do? It kind of looks like someone bit me or like a cat dug its claws into me

Firstly, I gotta ask.... did you take care of the wounds? I hope the scissors you used weren't visibly dirty, though I doubt they were sterile. Clean the wounds and use an antiseptic (Neosporin/Bactine will work if it's all you got, they're fairly common household antiseptics) and bandage it if you're able. I'm not sure which location of the body you harmed on, but if it's on arms, your best might be to keep it covered and use long-sleeves to your advantage. If you wear hoodies often, great! Makes it easier if your habits already have you in hoodies/sweatshirts. You can also layer a thin long-sleeve under a shirt or something else if you have no hoodies or sweatshirts or it fits your 'style' a little more. If you're living in an area of the world that's nearing fall/autumn, USE THAT to your advantage!!

You can also just use hoodies. People won't question if you just wear a hoodie all year long, at most you'll get a question about "how are you dealing with that heat!" which you can largely brush off.

I washed them but i didnt use a antiseptic i probably should have.. yes they are bandaged, the scissors werent visibly dirty or anything, yes they are on my arms, im going to try to wear hoodies i js get hot or sweaty super easy ty for the advice <3
