I worked hard for 25 years straight, the last 13 years ive worked to provide for my family as best as I could. Like you, I have let them down in every way. The only difference is that due to my mental illness, I had to go on disability two years ago, the drastic decrease in income has bled us dry and now I cant even give them security when im gone. You are blessed to be able to at least give them that, whereas I cant sleep most nights due to the guilt and fear of what will become of my family once im gone. There is only so much you can do, and it sounds like you have done everything you can. You haven't let them down, this disgusting money-based economy and selfish society has let you and all of us down. Everybody should have access to food, shelter and healthcare free of cost. it's not fair that you have worked so hard for that long and you don't have basic security, when some celebrities get tens of thousands for a few hours of spewing garbage on a tv show.

My heart goes out to you and your family, and I really hope something amazing happens so that your family can be taken care of and thrive.

It sounds like you have given your best. No one can ask for any more.

I want to believe that a comfortable cushion and all of my notes and letters and "memory this that and the other" will help ease their pain. But nobody replaces Mom. And that is my worst pain. Knowing what my loss will do to them. I wish I could be healed.
