Picking up a 357 magnum (3") on third and on Saturday I cross the bridge. I am torn about what bullets to get. Do I ask for hollow point? Is that the best bet?

I am terrified for my journey but it has been a long time coming. I'm over 50 and I have lived in misery for my whole life, but it just gets worse and worse . I can't do this to my kids anymore. They are better off this way, really.

So, help with what bullets to get. Even help with the exact aim is appreciated. I am a gun novice but they will show me how to use it. I'm out of time and I just need the one shot.

Thank you in advance. CTB is so lonely!

i was a gun nut and in the military. With any type of gun shot placement os the most important thing even more than caliber and gun. in my opinion you have the best gun for ctb. the 357 is a very fast round.

yes a bullet that has expansion capabilities is going to do more destruction and would be best. but still a full metal jacket with that kind of speed is going to do a lot of damage and is more than enough. just do a little homework on aiming points. that is most important. i am sorry for you that you are in this fix. im here if you ever want to talk.

What about a glock or generic glock? Or does it have to be a shotgun?

Is it true a rifle works better? I read that on threads here but it seems like it would be hard to hold and aim correct?

I can't give advice but I'm very sorry it's come to this . I will not try to talk you out of it, but maybe you can share a bit of your life story here and vent if you'd like.

I'm sorry that life has been so shitty for you.

glock or generic glock is fine. that means a 9mm will most likely be the smallest caliber you use. here is the ting. i saw someone mention this before and i think its a good idea. try and shoot it a few times first if possible. then do a dry fire practice with it aimed in position. then you will know you are ready should you have to ctb.
