It's claimed that 2mg of fentanyl (either rubbed in the cheeks, or ingesting or other way) could bring an almost instant death. In such case why is fentanyl not used for legal euthanasia instead of N( which 250 ml is required). Is it because fent. Is controlled ? But N is also controlled. Then why?

Good question. Opiates are indeed one viable way to bring about a quick and painless(possibly even pleasurable. I've read some accidental OD anecdotes that said the experience was actually pleasurable until they lost consciousness. they would have died if people didn't interfere with Naloxone.)death. Kinda why I'm an advocate of the heroin method.

Maybe someone here could enlighten us.

I have heard that in assisted dying(legal euthanasia), they chose the method which appears peaceful to the viewers.. like.. without seizures and all. Once, if the body is unconscious, seizures shouldn't matter actually since the body couldn't feel any pain. At the end of the day ,the whole purpose of this is to let the person die peacefully.. not for us to have a pleasurable view..Does the body react violently after taking fent.?
