• Hey Guest,

We wanted to share a quick update with the community.

Our public expense ledger is now live, allowing anyone to see how donations are used to support the ongoing operation of the site.

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I feel like I will never be able to make a sustainable life for myself. I have no clue how to buy a house or apartment, make payments on cars or utility bills, know the right people to call should a problem come up. Doesn't help that in this day and age you need a fuck ton of income to stay off the streets. I'm terrible at numbers but I can tell even if you work 40+ hours a week it's barely enough to buy food and keep your lights on.

Society in general is built upon pillars of sand. One way or another that sand will eventually crumble.

I like to call it the manchild syndrome, and yes I have it too. It's one of the reasons I'm ctb, because it makes me terrified of my future. It seems unbelievable to me that other adults (some much younger than me) are able to do all this shit without breaking a sweat.

I suppose you could move to a smaller town where cost of living is still at a sane level. But yeah that comes with its own disadvantages.

Same here. Life is so much meaningless busy work designed to confuse and keep us busy. So many arbitrary rules that no one understands everything, you need people like lawyers and accountants to do the job.

It's like I've used up all my energy years ago and running on fumes. Other people just seem to do things without thinking, whilst I use up all my energy just imagining the tedium of doing, worrying about how to do it, trying to make the correct choice. This article describes the sentiment https://www.buzzfeednews.com/article/annehelenpetersen/millennials-burnout-generation-debt-work. But it's not only that, even the simple things like knowing what to eat. I just try to accept I won't be like other people and to keep my life simple, until I can't take it and it's time to go.

It really is such a tiring and depressing existence. To me, life just seems like endless problems and suffering all for the sake of it. None of us should have to endure such misery. Best wishes.
