Feeling emotional

Does anyone else (you probably all do) feel so shitty, and sad and emotional but unable to cry because you're feeling incredibly awful

Yes, it's awful. I hate not being able to cry because it's soothing and helps. I'll occasionally watch sad videos, like animals grieving the death of their owners or another animal with sad background music, just so I can cry but sometimes even that doesn't work. I do find it easier to cry to examples like that than about myself. I'll sometimes even throw a mini tantrum in private because it'll make me seriously agitated.

i feel as usual which is about 4/10.
last time i properly cried was in 2017 when i first got locked up in a mental hospital, i had also tears in my eyes watching a sad film a month or 2 ago but didn't cry. a few times a month i dream i'm really crying hard.
